Networks

Last month we were quiet with network meetings and events due to the holidays, but this month we will be very busy delivering our second Sponsorship Summit in London (which is now fully booked), and Sponsors on the programme also have the opportunity to join a training session on the 11thSponsor Training – Rapport, Trust and Respect. We will also be busy exhibiting at the HFMA branch events this month, we hope to see many of you in person!

We have a FACE Showcase Session this month, hear from the Shrewsbury & Telford NHS Trust about the budget holder training offer they have for their staff on September 21, book your online place here.

If you interested in becoming an Accreditation Assessor please join our training session on September 27, this is an opportunity to gain valuable insights and help take your organisation to the next level.

The next conference within our NHS Finance Inclusion Conference series will focus on disabilities. Join us as we raise awareness and highlight a variety of ideas and initiatives that you can implement to make your organisation more accessible.

Last month applications for the Breaking Diversity Barriers programme opened, don’t forget that they close on September 30.

We are pleased to say that we are working with CIMA again to deliver the Fast-Track Programme. Applications are now open; they close on October 27. Download the programme guide here. 

Make sure you are up to speed with the new National Inclusive Talent Management strategy and guidance for NHS finance. It has been co-created over the last 18 months in collaboration with NHS leaders and the finance community. The strategy aims to be inclusive, supporting staff at all levels, leaving no one behind.

Last month we launched EVO (Engage, Value, Outcome), the application guide is now ready to download, it will provide you with a background to the framework. Download it here.

We are pleased to announce the 21 new NHS Finance Innovations have now been published in the Innovation Library. Thank you to everyone who submitted! You can submit to the programme at any time, the next peer review will be on the last working day of October.

Want to help promote a career in NHS finance? The North East & North Cumbria and Yorkshire & Humber Region have designed a resource pack containing event activities and lessons that can be delivered in schools, colleges, universities and career fairs. We are excited to collaborate with the HFMA to deliver two new exciting in-person events, free for all NHS finance staff: Value, efficiencies and innovation in healthcare, September 13, London and Future matters – Understanding artificial intelligence in healthcare finance, November 7, London.

We also have an Innovation Showcase taking place on September 12, join this session to hear about how Portsmouth Hospitals Charity planned and executed a ‘Dragons’ Den’ to help identify some key projects for charitable spend across Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust.
