Career Progressors development programme (band 7-8b) applications open – Deadline to apply January 30th.
Networks
Last month, we held 6 network meetings and events, which included a National Sponsee Masterclass and another well-attended health and wellbeing session from Roots Health Academy on chronic inflammation. We ran many insightful wellbeing webinars throughout 2025. If you would like to rewatch any of these, you can access them by registering for free here: Roots Health Academy.
This month, we are focusing on supporting our staff and wellbeing. Our annual Health & Wellbeing Conference will be taking place online on January 21st, 09:30 – 13:30. Join NHS finance colleagues for a half-day conference all about practical ways to support wellbeing at work. You’ll hear from expert speakers and people with lived experience, with sessions ranging from preventing burnout and supporting men’s mental health to the surprising link between gut health and how we feel.
Don’t forget we have many resources and toolkits that you can access for free to help support you and your teams. View all our Supporting our Staff resources here: supporting our staff, and check out all our health and wellbeing resources here: Health & Wellbeing Resources.
We also have a FACE (Finance and Clinical Educators) Showcase Session from East Cheshire NHS Trust, all about how they are helping to make finance more accessible and engaging for staff across all services, and how AI can support this. Register for January 23rd, 10:00 – 11:00 here: Finance Matters: a FACE Showcase from East Cheshire NHS Trust.
Programmes
Last month, we delivered an online session as part of the Empowering Women in Leadership programme, and an insightful webinar was held by Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS FT about their Talent Management strategy. The session demonstrated how the TM Pipeline Model helps capture and visualise the outcomes of those conversations. You can rewatch the session here: Talent Management Pipeline Model by Tameside and Glossop.
Thank you to all those who submitted Towards Excellence Accreditation applications; applications at Levels 2 and 3 are required to be assessed by Assessors. If you are interested in this role, then why not join our next training session on January 20th, 12:00 – 14:00: Towards Excellence Accreditation Assessor Training.
To all those who recently submitted NHS finance innovations, these will shortly be peer reviewed, and if successful, they will be published in the Innovation Library in February.
That’s a wrap for this month, please download our monthly presentation slides below. Thank you for reading, and happy new year!
