Networks
Last month, 15 network meetings and events took place, including regional Inclusion & Diversity Ambassador and Value Maker meetings as well as the FACE leads meeting.
The National Rainbow Network celebrated LGBT+ History Month with a successful half-day session that included a range of speakers that inspired and encouraged meaningful action. The network also published its Rainbow Network Awareness Dates 2025 Calendar.
This month, on March 8 is International Women’s Day, if you fancy joining the Women in Leadership for Finance webinar on March 5, 12:00 – 13:00, email nicola@ie-professionals.com for the link.
Taking place on March 4, Sponsors on The Sponsorship Programme have a chance to join an online training session that will cover techniques in coping skills, adaptability and emotional strength. We are also on the lookout for more Sponsors and Mentors! Programmes
Last month, the team were busy delivering the Going Beyond programme, an NHS Finance Insights placement scheme development day and the leads meeting. The NHS Finance Insights placement scheme was also featured in the Association of Accounting Technicians magazine, read the article here: Deep Dive – Public Sector – AT January-February 2025.
In February we also celebrated National Apprenticeship Week by hosting a range of Apprenticeship Showcase Sessions, you can rewatch these sessions on our NHS Finance Careers YouTube playlist.
We are pleased to announce that all finance departments in the NHS in England are now able to take part in Access Accountancy (previously just the East of England). Access Accountancy is a UK-wide collaboration aimed at breaking down barriers and creating opportunities for individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds to enter the accountancy profession. This month, taking place on March 25, we have another session from our Culture Series, featuring insights from London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWUH), this session will explore their approach to fostering openness, inclusivity, and trust within their finance teams. The Finance Innovation Forum still need volunteers to test the brand-new AI tool that has been trained on all 10 cohorts of the Innovation Programme, it has been designed to help you quickly locate the innovations that you need.
