Inclusive talent management in NHS finance

Together we can create an environment where everyone, regardless of their role, grade, or background, can thrive and contribute to our collective success in the NHS finance community.

Talent management in the Midlands

In response to the national Talent Management Strategy the Midlands region has been assessing how to integrate this inclusive process into current talent management practices, and in some areas adoption of the guidance is well underway.

The following finance staff in the Midlands attended the One NHS Finance Talent Management workshops in early 2024 and took the information back to their organisations and systems.

Following the ONF workshops, the Midlands Finance Academy circulated a talent management survey to all CFOs in the region in order to gauge awareness and engagement with the strategy, and to summarise current talent management practices and future ambitions across the region.

The resulting report and case studies below focus on communication, engagement, and plans for implementation, providing a current picture for the region and an outline on how we plan to make progress.
