Networks
Last month, we held several network leads meetings and two health and wellbeing events, which both had a great turnout with over 100 delegates in attendance! We understand how valuable our wellbeing webinars are, be sure to check out all the upcoming topics here: Wellbeing Webinars. This month, on the 6th, we have one dedicated to the importance of sleep.
Mental Health Awareness Week takes place May 12-18. Look out for our special Health & Wellbeing newsletter, dedicated to signposting everything available to support the NHS finance community and more!
MS Awareness Week 2025 runs from 28 April – 04 May on the back of this, the National Disability Network is holding a session dedicated to raising awareness about Multiple Sclerosis (MS) on May 6. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by those living with MS. Whether you’re looking to learn, support, or share, this session is a step toward a more informed and compassionate community.
The next instalment of the NHS Finance Inclusion Conference will be taking place on May 15, 9:00 – 13:00. Sessions include insights from the National Ambulance LGBT+ Network, a session on allyship, and how to support the LGBTQIA+ community.
We are also hosting an Accreditation Assessor training event this month on May 20. This insightful online event will give you the chance to learn directly from experienced assessors about their assessment process for organisations.
Programmes
Last month, we held our first Process Redesign with AI webinar, which was fully booked! If you missed the session, you can rewatch it here. We will be hosting these events monthly, and spaces remain for the August session. We have also created a brand-new web page dedicated to Process Mapping, view the page here.
The next session in our Apprenticeship Showcases will be held this month on May 20. Royal Free London NHS FT will share their approach to apprenticeships within NHS Finance. They will discuss the number of apprentices they take on, the levels they offer, and the providers they work with.
Since launching the NHS Finance Inclusive Talent Management Strategy in July 2023, we’ve made strong progress in supporting staff development and building new talent pipelines. We’re now inviting you to complete our short, anonymous survey to help shape the future of the strategy. Please share your feedback by Friday, 6th June, it only takes a few minutes! This session will explore how Norfolk and Waveney ICS has taken bold steps to create a collaborative, system-wide, and digitised TM process that supports career conversations, staff mobility, and is helping to build a talent pipeline for future roles and leadership. Our next Innovation Showcase is hosted by Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust, where they will present two of their innovations: Two Minute TACs – Working Paper Automation Using SQL and Power Query and Agreement of Balances (AoB) Process Done in a Minute!
