Networks
Last month 19 network meetings and events took place including insightful Value Maker board meetings and our much-anticipated Health and Wellbeing Conference, with over 160 of you joining on the day! If you missed it you can watch back here.
This month we have another Value Maker showcase session taking place, highlighting how the finance team at The Christie NHS FT promote health and wellbeing, helping you to gain some tips to take back to your organisation and finance teams. Book your place for February 14 here.
The Cultural Diversity Network has published its Cultural Awareness Dates 2025 calendar as has The Disability Network: Disability Awareness Dates 2025. These days can play a valuable role in supporting inclusion strategies within the NHS.
February is LGBT+ History Month, this year’s national theme is activism and social change, celebrating LGBTQ+ people’s contribution towards creating a society that is more inclusive. We have a powerful half-day session celebrating this month on February 27, which will include case studies, a keynote session featuring a personal story of advocacy and impact, and discussions designed to educate, inspire, and encourage meaningful action. Programmes
Don’t forget that applications close on February 21 for the UK 4 Nations Exchange programme, offering NHS professionals an opportunity to visit an organisation in another home nation. Participants will gain exposure to different practices, expand their professional networks, and bring back valuable insights to their home organisations.
Last month the team were busy delivering Going Beyond and Breaking Diversity Barriers career programmes, if you are interested in applying to these programmes, you can register your interest at any time and we will notify you when applications open.
February 10-14th marks National Apprenticeship Week, to celebrate this, we are hosting two Apprenticeship Showcase Sessions: University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust on February 10 and Myth busting and FAQs on February 13. Gain insights into the benefits of offering apprenticeships within your organisation.
Learnings from Leicester showcase session is taking place on February 27, Donna and Simon, both Deputy Finance Directors at the trust, will share the finance team’s approach to reshaping its culture – from implementing a new behaviours charter and staff training initiatives to hosting wellness cafes and reinstating vital support structures like appraisals and staff development processes.
