Women in Leadership for NHS Finance

An inclusive national network open to all genders.

Vision: Chaired by Zoe Pietrzak, Deputy Regional Director of Finance, NHS England and Improvement East of England, and in collaboration with Interim Professionals – the Women in Leadership for NHS Finance (WiLfF) brings together both women and men working in finance roles across the country who are committed to making NHS finance leadership more reflective of the finance community and populations we serve, through improving the gender balance in senior finance roles. The network aims to do this by creating a pipeline of ‘ready now’ women by:

  • Inspiring (role modelling)
  • Supporting (creating opportunities)
  • Breaking down internal barriers to career progression (increasing personal reliance and confidence).

Approach: The network’s approach is to be more radical, not limiting ideas or aspirations. It will be inclusive and accessible in its engagement, reaching out to those who have experience and pulling others up along the way.

The network meet on a monthly basis via MS Teams and guest speakers from both the NHS and other sectors are invited to present on specific topics such as career stories, career development skills, new and innovative initiatives + more! The network is also delivered and managed regionally by volunteering Network Leads from each patch.
