About
The Software Skills Drop-In Sessions provide an informal space for NHS finance professionals to share ideas, explore challenges, and learn from others using digital tools and technologies in their day-to-day work.
Whether you’re developing a new solution, experimenting with AI, building a Power App, creating dashboards, automating processes, or simply looking for advice, these sessions offer an opportunity to connect with colleagues, ask questions, and gain practical support.
The sessions are designed to encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing and peer learning across the NHS finance community. Participants are welcome to attend regularly or drop in when they have a specific challenge, project or idea they would like to discuss.
The Drop-In Sessions are intended to complement the Software Skills workshop series. Participants are encouraged to complete the core workshops, Process Mapping with AI and Build Your Own Copilot Agent, before attending. This helps ensure attendees have a shared understanding of the tools, concepts and approaches being discussed, allowing the drop-ins to focus on practical application, problem solving and peer support.
Workshops
There is no set agenda for each session. Discussions are shaped by the needs and interests of those attending, making each session a valuable opportunity to learn, collaborate and problem-solve together.
These sessions are designed for participants who have attended the core Software Skills workshops and are looking for ongoing support as they apply their learning in practice. Whether you’re mapping a process, building a Copilot Agent, experimenting with automation, or developing another digital solution, the drop-ins provide a space to ask questions, share progress and receive feedback from peers and facilitators.
