The Returnship Programme looks to support individuals within NHS Finance that have returned from parental leave over the last 6 months, or who are due to return before the end of April 2023, as part of a programme that One NHS Finance are piloting within the London region.
One NHS Finance carried out a survey back in September 2021, which indicated that there is more that could be done to support a successful return to work for colleagues after a period of leave of 6 months or more.
The aim of the programme is for members to receive support to help them to have a successful return to work. Members of the pilot will be invited to an introductory virtual meet-up followed by monthly support sessions over a 6 month period, including topics such as:
- NHS updates: Changes within NHS finance over the last 12 months
- Return stories: Hearing from colleagues who have successfully returned to work following maternity
- Confidence Building
- Setting Boundaries
- Career aspirations and Personal Brand
- Health and Wellbeing
- Professional registration updates
- Group support to work through challenges
Participants will be encouraged to find a buddy within their team or organisation, and the group will be encouraged to support one another in between the structured sessions.
The focus will be on building a support network, and short, bitesize monthly development events that can fit into the diary commitments of the programme members.
This years programme will run from May to October 2023.
