Attending this year’s conference was a fantastic opportunity for both personal and professional development. The sessions I participated in allowed me to deepen my expertise in areas I’m passionate about, while also introducing me to fresh perspectives and ideas. Networking with industry leaders and peers offered valuable insights into emerging trends, and I left feeling inspired, more confident, and clearer about my future direction.

The conference was a fantastic opportunity to expand my professional network. I had the chance to meet people from diverse backgrounds, which allowed me to share experiences and learn from others in similar roles. The informal networking events, such as the coffee breaks and roundtable discussions, were particularly valuable for fostering genuine connections. I’ve already followed up with several individuals I met, and I’m excited about the potential for future collaborations and knowledge-sharing.
What were the benefits of the buddy arrangements?
The buddy system was a great way to enhance the overall conference experience. I have had the opportunity to have Hannah Witty as my buddy throughout the conference, and having her as a designated buddy provided a sense of support, especially for those attending for the first time. It helped me feel more comfortable navigating the event and ensured I didn’t miss out on key sessions or networking opportunities. She was also a great resource for sharing insights from different sessions, which enriched my learning experience and has introduced me to other CFOs as well.
What could we do to help better support the winners before and during the conference in the future?
The whole process was seamless, and Charlie did an amazing job with the pre-conference meet up with all the winners where we got to meet and learn about other colleagues, the itinerary and how everything was planned was done perfectly to facilitate a smooth onboarding for us winner.
What I think might have helped is providing winners with special access to resources such private Q&A sessions could make them feel more supported and recognized during the event.

Overall, the conference was a fantastic experience, and I truly appreciate the effort that went into organizing it. The sessions were insightful, and the networking opportunities were invaluable. I do hope that future conferences continue to evolve with even more interactive and hands-on sessions, as I believe they add great value to the learning experience.
