Networks
Last month we were back in event mode, with lots of exhibiting, network meetings and delivering career programmes across the country, we also hosted our Sponsorship Summit in London and it was wonderful seeing many Sponsees and Sponsors last week connecting and networking, you can learn more about The Sponsorship Programme here.
Thank you to everyone who submitted nominations for the Value Maker Awards, we received 117 entries, beating last year’s total! Stay tuned for the shortlist announcement. The awards presentation will be held at VMAC on November 7, face-to-face places remain if you would like to attend, alternatively, book to watch online here.
This month, we are pleased to announce the launch of our new network; The CFO Buddy Network. This will offer informal support to newly appointed CFOs. The system pairs well-experienced CFOs with those new to the position, aiming to provide a strong network of peer-to-peer guidance. We’re now looking for experienced CFOs to sign up as a Buddy! Our popular NHS Finance Inclusion Conference takes place on October 16, with over 120 of you booked on already, this event will recognise the richness of our diverse community with the theme of Race, Culture & Beliefs.
We are also running two health and wellbeing webinars this month, one of which is a Menopause Awareness Webinar on October 10 to support Menopause Awareness Month. And a showcase session on how Bradford District Care Foundation Trust’s finance team has adeptly managed the challenges of remote communication while creating a supportive and collaborative workplace. Programmes
The deadline to apply to the Breaking Diversity Barriers Programme has been extended to October 14. The programme helps to remove obstacles for Band 7-8B finance professionals, ensuring everyone can achieve their potential, regardless of background.
We would like to congratulate all those newly accredited and reaccredited organisations, we received 21 applications (12 at Level 1, 6 at Level 2 and 3 at Level 3) – well done all!
New Talent Management guidance and resources have recently been published, this includes Talent Pipelines Discussions Guidance and a Development Identification Tool. We also now have 3 Talent Management Case Studies for you to read.
This month due to popular demand we are hosting another Finance Departments of the Future: Are you ready? webinar on October 15, this interactive session will be led by former Microsoft Finance Director Oli Deacon. This is one not to be missed!
We had a slight delay in publishing Cohort 9 NHS Finance Innovations, but they will be published in the Innovation Library this month – so watch this space!
