Career Development and Progression into Operations
I have worked in income and contacts 8c/d levels for the last eight years (service commissioning, contracting, operational, financial environment, especially about clinical income, including Payment by results. I have helped prepare a pathway redesign (UTC/SAU/A&E/SDEC/REACT/MSK/ /Maternity) on cost saving and enhancing profitability to increase the efficiency of the process. I have supported the business in driving transformation and value for money in planning, commissioning, and service.) and work with various clinicians and General managers/ operational directors.
During the pandemic, I supported elective recovery and helped NHS reduce the waiting time by setting up various contracts for insourcing and outsourcing with providers.
I had a few operational role interviews in the last six months. I received feedback that I have the knowledge but don’t have direct experience managing the service. My journey to find an operational role will continue as I want to be a future chief operating officer in the next 6 to 8 years.
I am looking for an opportunity on a fixed-term basis to consolidate my experience into operational deliveries and gain operational experience.
