Who is Accelerate! Deputies Development Programme for?

The programme is specifically designed for Deputy Finance Directors who aspire to progress their careers to the next level. By Deputy, the definition is a post that reports into the Executive level Chief Finance Officer at an organisation. Our tailored curriculum focuses on enhancing leadership abilities, and our team of experts provides guidance on completing successful applications.

Programme objectives:

During the programme, participants will welcome guest speakers from across the NHS and external facilitators. The programme involves two days of interactive, challenging, and thought-provoking sessions to help you prepare for your progression and future leadership roles.

Programme delivery:

Please note this section is subject to change and is dependent on how many applications are received. If we have enough applications then the below dates will be the delivery dates for the programme.

The Accelerate! Deputies Development Programme is delivered through a two-day, face-to-face event.

The 2026 cohort will be delivered on the 22nd and 23rd September.

CPD Hours:

Participants who complete all programme sessions will be awarded 14 CPD hours.

Costs:

Accelerate! Deputies Development Programme is free for all NHS finance staff. 

Travel and expenses are not included.
