Who is Career Developers for?
Career Developers supports band 5 – 6 finance professionals to develop their leadership and presentation skills, understand the business and learn to build a network.
This cohort is for London, West Midlands and South West colleagues only.
Programme objectives:
- Understanding the NHS system and the critical role of finance
- Learn the fundamentals of leadership and difficult conversations
- Build supportive networks and learn how to use them effectively
- Understand barriers to progression.
- Develop presentation techniques.
Career Developers helps aspiring managers develop the non-technical skills required to succeed within NHS finance and supports them to take the next step.

Programme delivery:
The programme is delivered through three face-to-face events in central London.
Dates: Wednesday 14th October, Tuesday 17th November and Wednesday 20th January
The training sessions are interactive and discussion-based, pushing participants to explore their careers in detail. It can be challenging as we identify personal and professional barriers and blockages, but we work together to identify strategies to overcome them.
Costs:
Career Developers is free for all NHS finance staff.
Travel and expenses are not included.
