Value Maker Award Nominations – deadline to nominate Friday, 26 September
Networks
As it was the summer holidays last month was quieter for network meetings and events, but we opened the nominations for the Value Maker Annual Awards. This year, we have 7 categories. Read all about them in our Value Maker Award Nomination Guide here and submit your nominations by 26 September here.
Last year we had 110 nominations, and we hope as many come in this year! The awards will be presented at VMAC on November 19, places to attend the event in London are filling up fast. Please book on soon if you want to secure your place, as we have nearly reached capacity for this event.
This month we have a busy event season ahead, with two Health and Wellbeing showcase sessions; one on the 12th on the role of relationships on our health and the other on the 18th with a focus on juggling work and family.
We are excited to host our first-ever FACE (Finance and Clinical Educators) half-day online conference on the 15th. This conference will introduce the network’s purpose, aims, and objectives, and explore how you can make the most out of the network. Attendees will hear from active FACE members sharing their experiences and insights, with sessions exploring key topics such as financial recovery. Book your place here – we can’t wait for this one!
Programmes
Thank you to all those who recently submitted their NHS finance innovations to the Innovation Programme. Peer review will be taking place shortly, and all successful innovations will be published in October.
Last month, we were delighted to find out that the NHS Finance Insights placement scheme was shortlisted in the Workforce Initiative of the Year category at the 2025 HSJ Awards! This recognition celebrates the exceptional hard work and collaboration of everyone involved in delivering the scheme successfully across the country. To be recognised among so many outstanding initiatives is already a win in itself, but please wish us luck! 🤞
We would also like to wish a warm welcome to the 23 new Insights placement trainees starting their placements in NHS organisations across England. Over the next 12 months, they’ll be starting paid finance roles in NHS organisations across England, gaining hands-on experience, developing new skills, and building confidence for their future careers.
