Who is Empowering Women in Leadership for?
This programme is aimed at staff working at band 8a and above who are female and wish to further their professional development with a view to career progression.
If requested we will support each successful delegate to be paired with a FD/CFO sponsor/mentor who will support them with their career development. The sponsor/mentor will give advice and feedback and create space for the delegate to connect with other influential professionals to enhance their career development opportunities.
Programme objectives:
Empower women in NHS finance roles (band 8a+) by developing their confidence and leadership capabilities.
Build self-awareness through tools like the Insights questionnaire, helping participants understand their leadership styles and how they interact with others.
Enhance practical leadership skills, including communication, influencing, assertiveness, and resilience.
Create a strong personal brand and improve participants’ ability to advocate for themselves in male-dominated environments.
Address internal barriers, such as imposter syndrome, limiting beliefs, and the inner critic.
Support career advancement through structured career planning, CV writing, and interview preparation.
Provide ongoing development and peer support through motivational talks, action learning sets, and networking.
Foster resilience and well-being, helping women manage work-life boundaries and recover from setbacks.
