The South East London Finance Academy is committed to fostering professional growth and promoting diversity within the finance community. To support this mission, we have launched the Secondment Pledge, offering flexibility for permanent roles to include secondment opportunities.
This initiative responds to staff feedback and demand for secondments as a career development tool, particularly among those hesitant to commit to permanent roles. It aims to provide staff with broader professional experiences while strengthening collaboration across SEL finance organisations.
Under the Secondment Pledge, each CFO will commit to:
• Advertise all SEL permanent roles with flexibility of a secondment option.
• Prioritise secondment opportunities before external recruitment for temporary requirements, ensuring
minimal notice periods for secondees to start within one month.
• Promote all opportunities via the SEL Microsoft Teams channel.
