NHS of the future
Making NHS Finance an attractive, sustainable, and a great place to work.
What’s on offerThe Midlands Finance Academy runs four workstreams which are overseen by the Academy Board, and each area is delivered by a working group of NHS finance volunteers.
The NHS of the future group has been focusing on supporting organisations in their accreditation journey, understanding the apprenticeship and work experience offerings across the region to identify gaps, launching a Midlands Health and Wellbeing Network and funding Mental Health First Aid training. We are also a key group to support the Academy Board in moving forward with the Insights Placement Scheme as it develops over the coming years.
In 2025-26 we will be starting to focus on financial sustainability and green plans, as well as expanding our promotion of NHS finance as a career in order to encourage new and diverse talent into the NHS finance function.
The group meets bi-monthly for a one-hour meeting, and the ask of time and resource from members between meetings is kept to a minimum.
Please contact becky.jenvey@hfma.org.uk if you are interested in joining.
