Who is Going Beyond for?
This programme is aimed at staff working at band 8c and above who wish to further their professional development with a view to career progression.
If requested we will support each successful delegate to be paired with a FD/CFO sponsor/mentor who will support them with their career development. The sponsor/mentor will give advice and feedback and create space for the delegate to connect with other influential professionals to enhance their career development opportunities.
Programme objectives:
- Self awareness & self management
- Understanding personal values
- Successful leadership and effectively chairing meetings
- Imposter syndrome and assertiveness
- Leading and managing change from an EDI perspective
- Managing relationship at a system level
- Conflict resolution
- Career goals and making the most out of your appraisal
The programme includes presentations from CFOs and FDs sharing their experiences on progressing to that level, as well as development sessions that will enable attendees to progress and achieve their career ambitions.

Programme delivery:
Going Beyond is delivered across 3 face to face events. You must be able to attend all 3 dates to be accepted onto the programme.
CPD hours:
Participants who complete all programme sessions will be awarded 26 CPD hours.
Costs:
Going Beyond is free for all NHS finance staff. Travel and expenses are not included.
