What benefits did attending this year’s conference have on you and your development?

Attending this year’s HFMA conference has been incredibly beneficial for my personal and professional development. The conference provided a unique platform for networking opportunities, learning about the work that is undertaken to support and improve health services in UK, Australia and USA and gaining insights into AI technologies to improve efficiency, quality and productivity in our healthcare system.  The diverse range of sessions and workshops allowed me to broaden my knowledge base in NHS Financial ecosystem, in particular, I was very impressed with NHS procurement strategy presentation, and it was very relevant to Contract Management project that I am currently working on.

Engaging with peers from other organisations facilitated valuable discussions and the exchange of ideas. These interactions have not only expanded my perspective but have also given me practical insights that I can apply in my work.

Additionally, the conference offered numerous opportunities for professional growth through exposure to new tools, methodologies, and strategies. The knowledge gained has not only bolstered my confidence in my current role but has also positioned me to contribute more effectively to my organisation.

In summary, attending the HFM conference this year has had a profound impact on my development. It has enriched my understanding of strategies aiming to improve NHS services, deepened my expertise, and expanded my professional network, ultimately contributing to my growth and success.

Thank you for this amazing opportunity HFMA!
