Bio:
My career to date has been purely public sector focused, working in finance and internal audit both within local government and the NHS. I have worked in the public sector for 24 years, 8 years in local government and 16 years in the NHS.
I currently work as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst for Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board (ICB) where the primary aim of my role is to enable the delivery of an effective programme management approach to system savings, efficiencies and productivity financial processes. It is a role that I very much enjoy as although it can be challenging, it is also very rewarding knowing that you are part of a dedicated workforce helping the NHS to ensure that it delivers value whilst also improving patient care.
In addition to my role above, I also champion staff development within our Finance Team and am passionate about ensuring that we have the very best finance skills development culture and practices in place. I played an active role in helping the Team to achieve the One NHS Finance ‘Towards Excellence’ Accreditation at Level 1 in September 2020.
I am proud to have been a Value Maker since April 2020 and became one of the South-West Region Value Maker Leads at the end of 2021. I am someone who is committed to making a difference, who is passionate about the power of finance in supporting the delivery of excellent patient care and of harnessing the power of a group of enthusiastic like-minded people to bring about positive change. Along with the other Value Maker Leads, I am passionate about strengthening the network further, helping to make current Value Makers feel energized and motivated in their current Value Maker activities, and encouraging as many people as possible to become a Value Maker and to join this great network.
In addition to being a Value Maker, I am also a Finance and Clinical Educator (FACE) and a Diversity and Inclusion Ambassador.
