Bio:
I am Head of Finance for York Health and Care Partnership, part of Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Commissioning Board. I’ve been in NHS Finance since I joined the graduate scheme in 2004, initially working in the acute sector before moving to commissioning in 2014.
I am just one of a group of brilliant Value Maker leads across Yorkshire and Humber and the North East. I became a Value Maker in 2015 and being part of the network has opened so many opportunities to me, not just as part of my own development but also to support and promote the learning and development of colleagues in my organisation and region. What I love about being involved with the Value Maker network is the positivity – everyone has their own ideas and areas where they want to make a difference and there is always mutual support to go ahead and change part of the NHS Finance world – no matter how small or how big the idea!
Working in NHS Finance is a rewarding career but it can also be really challenging and the last few years have really highlighted more than ever how we have to adapt to ongoing change. I think it’s more important than ever that we continue to support, inspire and motivate each other through the Value Maker network.
