Gayle Wells, CGMA is Director of Operations, MIAA having previously been Strategic Head of Finance and Procurement Staff Development at Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust until late 2022. Gayle has worked in finance in the NHS for over 20 years, including in Health Authorities, Primary Care Trusts, and Trusts. She is currently studying for a Masters in Occupational and Organisational Psychology, with Northumbria University and will graduate in 2023.
Gayle said ‘Since joining the FFF programme as a Value Maker back in 2014, I’ve been really open to pushing myself outside of my comfort zone professionally, and I was lucky to know so many brilliant leaders in finance in the NHS who were supportive and wanted me to be the best I could be. I want to empower other staff working in NHS finance to feel the same support and encouragement to learn, develop and achieve their goals. I am extremely proud to be part of the ONE NHS Finance journey, and to be a regional Valuemaker lead and I am excited to see what we can achieve working together over the next few years!
