SOFTWARE SKILLS FOR FINANCE STAFF

About the event

Who is this event series for?
This series is in response to the Becoming NHS Finance Conversation and seeks to improve the software skills of NHS Finance staff in order to shorten the gap of time currently spent on manual and repetitive tasks. This series is open to anyone, at any level in NHS Finance with an interest in learning how to put accessible technology to better use. This series and all of its sessions will be taught by fellow NHS Finance colleagues and will consist of four events over an 8-week period starting in early 2022. Those interested will have an opportunity to share their problems with each other and work together to overcome those challenges by learning to use already accessible software to reduce manual time and repetitive tasks.

After completing this series, delegates should have a better understanding of how to use the software discussed and feel more confident applying learned tricks and techniques to tackling problems in their day to day. They should also feel more comfortable in asking for help from likeminded individuals and other attendees.

How does it work?
Interested parties should apply now and fill out the application form, this information will be collated and will steer the content and style of the series. Delegates will have an opportunity to request training in different software and the most popular requests will be covered in the sessions. As the series progresses the sessions will become a lot more hands on and in between events delegates will be given homework to complete to bring back to the group for assessment and further discussion.
