The Financial Management Team used static excel based lists to record budget holders, their authorised limits (in line with SFI's) and their cost centres. These were updated manually and this was very time consuming. They were required to be kept up to date to ensure Accounts Payable could see the limits and request approval for payment from the correct budget holder and to ensure the correct budget statements were sent too.
These records are now updated automatically on a daily basis enabling Accounts Payable to direct requests to the right person first time in line with their limits and systems are set up to ensure approvers can access their relevant budget statements in Qlik Sense.
