Description

Leeds Teaching Hospitals faced challenges in ensuring the quality impact assessment (QIA) process aligned with waste reduction programme goals without compromising patient services. Key challenges included standardisation, data accuracy, integrity, accessibility, bias reduction, efficiency, resource optimisation, scalability, staff training, and regulatory compliance.

Join Richard Norman, Head of Programme Management Office at Leeds Teaching Hospitals, as he showcases how the team developed a refined and updated QIA methodology for conducting quality impact assessments in the trust, comprehensive and integrated QIA guidelines, and a standardised QIA document template with inbuilt data rules and validation. With these outputs, they were able to improve reports summarising the results of WRS QIA's, produce robust documentation and evidence to ensure regulatory compliance, and provide a visual representation of the QIA process.
